Paley Rothman Launches Estate Planning Webcast Series
Episode 1: 2014 Legislative Changes for Estate Tax Law
Federal and state estate laws have recently undergone significant changes. As fewer individuals become subject to the estate tax, the estate tax driven plans of the past may need to be modified. In the first of a series of webinars from the Estate Planning department, Paley Rothman attorney Michelle Chapin, former associate Allison Lee and Jeffrey Kolender discuss the recent legislation and planning opportunities that are available under the new laws.
Although the primary focus of the legislative overview is the increase in the Maryland exemption amount, which will allow for greater wealth to be passed on from one generation to another without the imposition of an estate tax, the tax concepts and planning ideas are geared toward a wider audience, that is, anyone genuinely interested in keeping up with an evolving legal landscape.
